Eve Mac Eve For Mac

. 2010 Mac Pro.

OSX 10.9.4. Xenon 3.46GHz Hex-Core.

24GB RAM. 4GB EVGA GTX 680 FTW (Flashed with Mac ROM).

1TB SSD. Eve installed via Steam The game will play flawlessly on high settings but crash after 15 minutes of playing. I tried all the graphic presets and they all crash. I disabled App-Nap per a suggestion I seen online but it's still crashing. I can't even get through this damn tutorial, it's so frustrating. Any help is greatly appreciated EDIT: I'm about to re-install my factory Apple ATI 5570 GPU to see if that makes a difference.

EDIT II: The 5770 crashed as well. Which is actually a relief, I was getting worried it was an issue with my GTX680 EDIT III:. My Bootcamp partition most have gotten jacked up when I installed PR1 Yosemite on that same drive. So I'm re-installing windows now. EDIT IV. Eve is working flawlessly in windows.

I'm able to run max settings and still get over 60fps. I use my macbook pro 2011 for eve, pretty much max settings and havent had a problem. Dont use steam though. I did do the windows on a partition thing for awhile but erased it,I could never seem to get it to work as well as others did. Bottom line though: I am basically a computer idiot.

If the Mac Eve client is broken I probably wouldnt even know it!:) edit: add that I have never played on a windows machine, so it could very well be that I don't even know what I am missing. It didnt seem to be much different on the windows bootcamp partition. BUT I could NOT get the windows partition version to work with my big beautiful Thunderbolt display. Maybe if I could have compared them on that screen it would have mad a difference. Hey, I wanted to get back with you.after reading many posts about how doing the bootcamp with windows and running the win eve client works so well, I gave it another shot last night. Especially after my client froze three times on sunday, which has rarely happened before, and when I went through a camped gate the graphics were really jerky.

So,I gave it another shot!!!! So I ran Boot camp assistant, downloaded the support software, partitioned the hard drive and installed window 7.

Fairly simple, the boot camp assistant guided me through it. Important to print out the instructions too, and follow along. Then I downloaded the Eve Windows client and ran it. I even got it to run on my external thunderbolt display in THAT resolution. I really do think there is a difference. Seems to run 'crisper' and the visuals are beautiful.I have yet to test it under stress, like with a ton of ships flying around while on mumble etc.

I also have to redo all my overlay settings and browser links and stuff, get mumble and teamspeak working.
