Hey All, I am helping a client setup his new Mac mini, upgrading from an old Dell tower. The one thing we didn't think about in this transition was printer support. He currently has a Sharp AL-1641CS (combo copier/scanner/usb printer), which is not officially supported under Mac OS X.
I have searched for gimpprint/CUPS support, etc. With no success. All we are looking for here is basic printer functionality as he can use as a standalone copier.scanner function not needed. At this point I don't know what to do and am looking for similar experiences or other solutions. In theory I've thought something up that could work so please give feedback if anyone has tried something similar:.
