If it is crashing, what do your logs say about this? Use the Console application to look at the system.log, then try to launch ImageBrowser. Post what you see in the log. You may see a message such as 'crash report written to: /Users/yourname/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ImageBrowser.crash.log'.
If you do, click on the 'Logs' icon in the top bar of one of the windows. Then choose the disclosure triangle against '/Library/Logs' (because the previous message says it was in your Home/Library/Logs, and ' is a shortcut for Home) then click the disclosure triangle against 'CrashReporter' and click on the ImageBrowser.crash.log to see what happened. These logs are cumulative, and separated by '.' .
They start with a header including the Date/Time. You need to scroll back from the bottom, so that you can select the last log and post it here. We may be able to find out more from this information. The error occurs before I try to use any file, I go to the ImageBrowser icon in the Applications folder, double click on it, and just sit back and watch. The program comes up, I don't do anything but wait a few seconds, and it evaporates, generating an error report which is sent to Apple.
